Fuelled by Microbes was a podcast produced by Scienseed as part of the European research project Micro4Biogas, exploring the science, challenges, and opportunities behind biogas as a sustainable energy source — from the microbial processes that drive biogas production to its role in the green energy transition.

The series featured conversations with international experts who made complex topics around microorganisms, renewable fuels, and energy independence accessible to a wider audience. As the sound engineer for Fuelled by Microbes, I was responsible for assisting in the recording of the episodes, editing and mixing the audio, and managing the live broadcast of the live sessions, ensuring consistent sound quality and a smooth technical experience throughout.

Working on this podcast was both a technically demanding and intellectually rewarding experience, combining my work in audio production with the opportunity to learn directly from leading researchers about how microbial science can contribute to a more sustainable future.
